I am Studing AAT Intermediate after passing foundation in June and i am struggling, just like i did at Foundation Level due to the teaching. i had to practicaly teach myself the way things look and i am still a litle unsure about the actual principle of things

The teachers seem to only be interested in teaching the people who pick it up easily and as for the people that struggle, they have no time for us and are unhelpful and sarcastic.

I really want to do well at this as i enjoy it but i dont use any of it at work, has anyone got any ideas of how i can get some help? or does anyone know of a private tutor?

I know exactly what you mean, is your college teaching the course or is it subcontracted. I too listed a thread title sold out, helpful replies and hoping it will get better, would be good idea of anyone doing private tution as extra to be listed or registered with either local AAT or advertise at colleges as we have no access to this type info.

    Help !!!!!!!!

I provide private tuition in the Essex area - I've no idea where you come from, so I don't know if that's any good, but (just in case!) you can contact me via my website at www.TeachMeNow.net

If you don't live near me, then it's worth asking around. If there are any tutors at college that you get along with, they may know of someone (or they may offer tuition themselves). Fellow students may have some contacts - try also to speak to other groups at other levels. Finally, is there anybody at your workplace who has studied in recent years? They may have used a private tutor.

It is difficult - as a private tutor I do not advertise, but rely purely on word of mouth. I would happily sign up to an AAT list, but I don't feel advertising elsewhere would be worthwhile.

In the meantime, keep using this useful forum!

Best of luck,

Andrew Harrington

    Help !!!!!!!!

Thanks for your posting Mayday i did see your posting titled "sold out", which was one of the reasons i posted my message, i thought i was the only person strugging with AAT and i am glad i am not. your idea about private tutors registering with AAT or colleges is a great one, i fully support.

i did ask my teachers if they knew of any tutors but they just frowned upon outside teaching, and didnt know of any, i even asked if there were any higher student who would be prepaired to teach. they just keep saying "your be ok and will pick it up soon" but its not there career there messing with is it! no help from them at all.

Thanks for message Andy, as you can see i have tried asking my teachers, there is knowone at work who is studying it and i dont get to see any higher students, i am nowhere near Essex unfortuntly but keep advertising on the forum, as i am sure there are lots of people in the Essex area needed a tutor.

I hope you can Help P V Sharan, i live in the Bristol area. Where is this private tutor based ?
