Hi

'confusion' and myself have been having a discussion on applying depreciation (see post entitled 'Confused').

We both seem to think that when the term 'no depreciation to applied in year of disposal' is used, it means financial year and not calendar year.

Are we right?

Neil

    Depreciation years

Yes it is the financial year as this is the amount of depreciation as shown in the accounts at the end of that year. No depreciation in the final year usually only applies if a full years' depreciation has been taken in the year of purchase, but not in every case (or that's how it seems from my textbooks and studies). Hope this helps
Dinie
