Just to remind you, this is task 1.2<BR><BR>January 200,000kgs purchased £4,000 Favourable (F) Variance<BR>February 250,000kgs purchased £10,000 Favourable (F) Variance<BR>March 280,000kgs purchased £11,200 Favourable (F) Variance<BR>April 300,000kgs purchased £18,000 Favourable (F) Variance<BR><BR><BR>We also know that the standard cost per kg of material is £2.00 per kg<BR><BR>You already know that the material price variance is the difference between the standard cost of what we bought and how much we paid.<BR><BR>In Jan the standard cost is 200,000 x £2.00 = £400,000<BR>as the variance is £4,000 favourable we must have paid less than the standard cost<BR>= £396,000 for the 200,000 kgs we bought<BR>The actual cost per kg = £1.98<BR><BR>Is that enough for you to do the others on your own?<BR><BR>I will include this on the PEV revision days<BR><BR>Sandy0 -
