I'm doing home study with BPP and was hoping to sit the December exam in unit 5. However I've got behind and will have to postpone the exam. I've been told I will have to buy a completely new course now for this unit as the 'standards' have changed. Is this right? and does anyone else have this problem? I feel I've wasted a lot of money on this course now.

Unit 5
There has been no change in the Intermediate standards since 2003, so I don't understand the advice that you have been given. If you were plannimng to enter for FRA in December 2005 you can still do so in June 2006

Graham Blott0 -

I did read on an earlier post that the standards are changing for 2006. It was in reference to revision courses and stated that just doing past papers in 2006 will not be sufficient as the standards will be different. Something about the layout of certain things ie P&L, Balance sheet etc, probably bringing them in line with Europe as with everything else.

I am waiting for my information to come through and only plan to take first exam in June so can't really comment on content yet but i did read the above on a post and thought great more expense, i didn't really want to do a revision course as there are loads of past papers available on the internet and this site.

anyway, i hope it turns out ok for you it all gets very costly.
Emma0
