This one is confusing me.....<BR><BR>Professional fees. If you are paying for them then you can claim it as an expense.<BR>If your employer is paying them it is a benefit but it is cancelled out by the expense. correct? or not<BR><BR>How is this put in the tax computation. i sent off a practice exam to be marked. it was fees paid by employer. i added the amount into the calculation for employment and took it back out again. i then put it into the tax form as a balancing charge on the first page and under professional fees on the second page. the page of answers i got back had it simply as exempt in the calculation and only entered on the second page of the tax form<BR><BR>confused <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"><BR>help needed please

    Hi there,<BR>Firstly , it is right that the professional fees can be cancelled out if is paid by employer.<BR>Secondly , i am wondering if the professional fees was paid by employee not employer in your practice exam ,because if you read carefully the tax from second page expenses YOU INCURRED in doing your job ,otherwise you would not need fill in this page.<BR><BR>Any thought ,please let me konw ,hope can help you a bit.<BR><BR>chaoliss
