Tax basis periods

Can anyone help with Basis periods because I am totally baffled.<BR><BR>First year is OK but the second is confusing.<BR><BR>Is there an easy way to learn it??<BR><BR>Thanks

    I am on Tech level and I am really having a problem with basis periods.<BR>I have had some help on the Tech discussion forum from Andrew so I just have to run it through my head a few times and maybe I'll understand it.<BR>The problem is the second year and the rules e.g. is there an accounting period in the second year, this is the problem.<BR><BR>Anymore help would be great.<BR><BR>Thanks<BR>Julie
