Help!

I have just started the Intermediate course with FTC. I didn't do the Introduction course as I completed the OCR in Bookkeeping and Accounts at College. It's the first distance learning course I have tried and am finding it quite difficult to motivate myself. As I work full-time (and I have to admit getting on a bit!) I find I am doing it at all odd times of the day and find it hard to retain everything I have read. The main thing I miss is the interaction with other students. Has anybody else had these problems and if so could you give me any advice on how to overcome them.

    Re:Help!

I felt like that ALL the time.

When I decided to do the AAT there wasnt a college that did a night class and I work full time so i decided to do Home study.

I felt I was alone, Ok I had my tutor to ring, but sometimes some of the questions seemed silly to ring him for.

I decided to set up my own online MSN Group to help me and get some study buddies. Well there are other 500 members (studdy buddies) as part of the group now.

I try and study every night at 5 to 7, (im lucky husband does the evening meal) then 7 onwards its soaps time, then relax. If i get chance at work then i may do a little, but not much.

Im always reading this forum and the msn groups forums to check messages, if i can help someone with a answer then i answer it. Its surprising how much you realise you know without knowing. Just because your home study doesnt mean you are alone, there is plenty of help on the forums, plenty of people will share email addresses and messenger details to chat when you like.

Just remember you are not alone, we are all doing the same, or been and done it.
