Can someone please e-mail details of the SSAPs and FRSs, especially details of the two new FRSs (FRS 21 & 22) that will be in the December DFS Exam?
My e-mail address is rcole196@hotmail.com.
I would be really grateful if someone could help me.
Thanks
Becky

Re:SSAPs & FRSs - HELP
Hi
According to the AAT website we need to know the following about FRS 20 and FRS 21:
FRS 21 (IAS 10): Events after the Balance Sheet Date
Definitions of events after the balance sheet date and adjusting and non-adjusting events
Requirement to adjust for adjusting events after the balance sheet date with examples
Prohibition on adjustment of non-adjusting events after the balance sheet date with examples
Prohibition on recognising dividends declared after the balance sheet date as a liability
Prohibition on preparing financial statements on a going concern basis if there is an intention to liquidate or cease trading
Requirement to disclose date when financial statements were authorised
Requirement to disclose material non-adjusting events with examples
FRS 22 (IAS 33): Earnings per share
Scope of Standard
Definition of ordinary share
Measurement of basic earnings per share
Explanation of amounts attributable to ordinary equity holders of the parent entity
Need to use weighted average number of ordinary shares in calculating basic earnings per share
Presentation of basic earnings per share
To get more information, as well as looking in the osborne book, you could go to the Accounting Standards website which has full definitions and descriptions on all the standards: http://www.asb.co.uk/asb/technical/standards/accounting.cfm

Re:SSAPs & FRSs - HELP
Hi,
I don't know whether it's on the exam.
But under Centres/Assessments/Guidance Notes/Technician/Unit 11 - DFS guidance, it tells you which SSAPs and FRSs have changed.
