Task 6 executive shirts:
Why do you put all the part-time employees costs (less bonus) to 300/300 packing/direct labour???
Is there something in the policy I have missed.
Thanks,
Tori

Re:Executive Shorts mock sim
I have an old simulation D1088 called Executive Shirts
Task 5 asks for part-time employees' gross wages
As all are paid £6 per hour the amounts charged to each dept are as follows:-
Washing/drying 12hours = £72
Ironing/pressing 23 hours = £138
Packing 15 hours = £90
The bonus is £0.22 per hour (as per the notice) x total p-t hours
£0.22 x 50 hours = £11
The internal policy document requires:
overtime premiums and bonus payments are chargeable to the ironong/pressing cost centre
So when you code these costs in task 6 you should inclde your part time wage costs with the full time wage costs from task 4
To help you here they are (you can see where the part time calculations from task 5 fit in)
100300 £160(ft) +£72 (pt) =£232
200300 £474 (ft) + £138 (pt) = £612
200600£46 ft = £46
200650£75 ft +£11 pt = £86
200660£228 ft = £228
300300£210 ft +£90 pt =£3000 -
Re:Executive Shorts mock sim
Im glad you cleared that up Sandy - I have just done the same sim and the answers must be incorrect - I get the same as you.
OnTask 14 - should the Discount factor number be given?? I thought that all discount factors are given in exams and sims - I really hope this is another misprint as the exam tommorrow better have them in.
Thanks
