Does anyone subscribe to the Accounting Technicians Channel?
I'm considering it at the moment as there are no CPD events in my area, and I was wondering what other peoples views were on the subscription, and the type of topics that are usually covered.

Re:Accounting Technicians Channel
I have not, but I would recommend attending some of the HMRC workshops which are free of charge.
Topics such as:
Becoming Self- Employed
Self Assessment for the Self-Employed
Setting up a Ltd Company
Paying Your Employees Part 1 & 2
Construction Industry Scheme
I've been on a few of these courses and found them very informative. I realise AAT is just the beginning.
I only have the London number for booking but call for more information

Re:Accounting Technicians Channel
Hi
Another option might be Learn Direct www.learndirect.co.uk
Choose the 'Buy a course online' option from the top and you can find plenty of courses on business related issues. ACCA have a CPD scheme called Realise http://www.acca.co.uk/cpdrealise/ Not sure if it for members only, but there are quite a few resources there too.
The chartered accounting bodies usually have various doucments for CPD that you can dowload too.

Re:Accounting Technicians Channel
Thanks for the information, you have both given.
I have watched the sample CD that was sent to me, but think I will look into both of your suggestions.
It has taken me a few weeks to watch the CD because I have been on holiday then busy catching up with work and I'm starting to get fed up with the company that sent the CD ringing me up and emailing me to see what I thought of it. I had explained I was busy and would contact them. They've actually put me off buying the CD.0
