help with ptc exam

hello

could somebody help me understand to do the disposal of shares as i dont understand how to do it, the aat do it one way and osbourne do it another way, I NEED HELP, REALLY WORRIED ABOUT THIS!!

    I know that the firsts you allocate to the disposal are any you purchased within the next 30 days. It sounds silly, but the computation would probably be done some time after the disposal. Then its LIFO, (last in, first out) from the date of purchase, back to April 1998. If you still need shares to complete the disposal you need to go into the FA 1985 pool which must be the worst thing invented ever! I can't get my head around how to treat issue and bonus shares for indexation, so if anyone has a magic answer, I too would appreciate it!
