Hi
Can anyone tell me when the cash book and petty cash book are integrated with the main ledger? What do I need to look for and point out to say whether they are integrated or non integrated?

its quite a few years since I did the AAT but I was just taking a look and noticed no-one replied to your query.
To be honest in my experience ive never heard integrated and non-integrated cashbooks/petty cash. Basically im guessing the term applies whether the transactions in the petty cash book and main cash book are either:
1) Entered into a book and then the totals every so often are posted into the nominal ledger.
2) Each and every transaction is posted directly into the nominal ledger.
