Can anyone remember their answers? I'm starting to worry a bit now-came out of the exam thinking it was really easy but now I'm starting to wonder! Just wanted to know if other people's answers were the same/similar to mine,

Thanks

    Re:ECR Exam

    Hi Lou
Sorry you weren't getting any help.
The few things I remember are(not in the right order):

The first question was something like 'what is the method of stock costing used' and I think the answer was weighted average
Comleting a table for material costing
    the journal entries
The effect on Fixed costs of an increase in activity level:
Table for 10000 units and you work out costing for 12k and 14k units. Then the question was about production of 50000 units in a 3-month period and how FC will be affected
    Correcting DL cost
Unit cost based on marginal costing and full(absorbtion) costing
    Absorbtion of overhead
    Under/over stated OH
Process costing-I got 56.11 for the unit cost to value abnormal loss and the output. I think Normal loss = £5x400 Don't remember the rest
    Payback period(1 year +10.7 monthes)
    NPV(I think £317)
    4 questions around investment appraisal

    Re:ECR Exam

    Hi Lou

Some of the answers were discussed on 5th December - look at the thread "ECR Exam 5th December 2005" - it has about 15 posts on it and it mentions some of the answers.

    Hope it helps!

    Re:ECR Exam

I think the NPV would be £317,000 in full ie £317 (£000), I guess you mean that was the answer for the table not the full answer.

Has anyone got a tutor who can do the exam paper???? Someone did that last time.

    Tori.

    Tori
Mine is on excel at the moment.
I can attach it to an email and send it to you. If you want it in such a format, email me at sandy.hood@chichester.ac.uk .
There may be an opportunity to ring me and for me to talk through the specific tasks but I am not going to be available at the end of a telephone for the next couple of weeks.
I will post it on a website shortly.

    Re:ECR Exam

    Hi

If you download the exam paper there is nothing there about process costing as far as I can see. I got the tutors suggested answers nothing there either. So I think we can stop worrying. Hopefully the person doing the posting got mixed up???

I double and triple checked my exam paper before I left so I can't have missed anything.
