Hi all!
Firstly, happy new year!
I have my first technician level college class tonight and the first unit is 15.
Can anyone tell me a bit about cash management & credit control unit? We are doing it over Jan and Feb and will complete the skills test for it.
Is it very intense? I am just wondering as I aim to play catch up on portfolio work before starting the unit 11: DFS unit in late Feb!
Thanks!

Re:Unit 15: Cash management & credit control
Hi
I started CMCC last night and it looks quite straightforward to me and was told that 8 weeks is ample time in which to complete the lessons and the skills test, so therefore it is not intense at all and should give you plenty of time to catch up on your portfolio.
We only covered the first chapter last night and haven't really looked over the others (only 10 chapters in BPP course notes) but we began with advantages/disadvantages of borrowing cash from bank/shareholders, measurement ratios which we need to learn, but are easy enough. Then there is the cash cycle which is basically how long it takes from purchasing raw materials to receiving the cash for the goods sold.
Anyway, enjoy it before we really start to panic with DFS!

Hi All,
Happy New Year!!!
I have completed CMCC in December. Just like Kelly said, It is quite straight forward. Lots of reading and most of it you will be able to relate to. Cash flow Statement, Seasonal Variations, Granting credit etc I really enjoyed the classes any my tutor is very good. All the best.
