Unit Three!! Please help!!

I am doing Unit Three at the moment, i need to submit some coursework its already late, im doin homestudy course so finding it difficult.

i also have to sit the skills test, i havent done much work on this unit either but i do work in accounts everyday, is there a main thing in this unit i need to study or is it all quite important??

Any help appreciated!!

    Hi Sam,

    Tha main part of Unit Three is the external exam which can be sat in June and December.
    The only other work which I did was a Simulation provided by my tutor and he also gave me some questions to answer on any parts which had been missed.

    See i have no help from a tutor to tell me what to do, i think you've emailed me the questions you were given but they mean nothing really to me, i just have a text book to look at!!

    its so hard without any guidance!!

    Who are you studying with? Not BPP by any chance?!

    The central exam for foundation level is split into 2 sections - the first being able to make entries into the day books and take that through to a trial balance.

    The second section may contain things like a bank rec, cash book, petty cash etc. but can contain questions on any of the syllabus! Try and speak to someone at your training provider and ask them for advice - keep pushing until they help you, you've paid for the course and expect to get some support!

    If you are aiming to sit the exam in June, you have plenty of time if you work at it so I am sure you will be fine!

    Yeah im studying with BPP, i was told i would have a personal tutor who would contact me which hasnt happened!! I've only just received my unit four sim and study guide which was meant to be due in last month!! To be honest there crap!! the txtbooks are good tho.

    i attempted a mock sim on unit three but got stuck, ive posted most things to each account but i get confused when it comes to posting to the bank control account, and sales and purchase control.

    my employer going to try and help me 2moro so hopefully ill get it by then!! :(

    Hi Sam,

    I've just read what you said about BPP and I am totally in the same situation.
    I did not receive my Unit 4 study guide... until last week and I too was suppose to be handing the mock test in at the end of December.

    Am afraid we do not actually get a personal tutor - as far as i know. Apparently they changed it there is just main unit tutors or something.

    I was quite annoyed when they said this as they clearly advertised that we would get a personal tutor.

    I am fed up with them - I receive no help what so ever.

    Just out of interest, have you seen the posting 'Skills test' they moan about BPP too. Perhaps these convos should be copied and sent to them to show them what a rubbish support base they make.

    I dont actually think ive heard any good things about BPP on this site at all!

    Maybe we should let them know how rubbish they are! Lets see if Anne Robinson on Watchdog would help us!! haha only joking.

    Well if i pass this course on my own i will be very surprised and proud!! I am so fed up with it now im starting to think is it worth it!! Late nights studying and completing coursework is getting on top of me, itd be a lot easier if i knew what to put into my portfolio rather than having to put basically everything in to be on the safe side!! :(
