New Diploma Pathway

Hi

I am doing the new diploma pathway certificate and will shortly be doing the mock exercise for Unit 31 Elements 1 and 2 which is on the www.aat.co.uk/diploma website.

Task 1 asks for a consolidation but i have not done any consolidations.

Any help much appreciated.

    Basically when 2 businesses are linked together ie parent company owns subsidiary company we can prepare consolidated accounts which shows the position of both companies together rather than individually.

    As mentioned in the task any trade between divisions should be removed or contra'd as this is simply an exhange of revenue and cost internally and does not show the overall picture of the two divisions combined.

    When you get further in your studies this will get a whole lot more exciting!!

    heyyy yaa

    i'm currently studying the new diploma pathway aswell with ftc, i was just wondering how ur finding it? do you currently work in a finance or accounts environment?

    Course is going ok

    Revising for Unit 31 skills test at the mo.

    Studying full time at college :lol:
