I wou;d recommen that you did some studying before the course. I have found it fine as alot of the work i covered at a-level but alot of people in my class stuggle to keep up. I would just go through the intermediate books or maybe a alevel book, thats what i used before hand.
As long as you keep on top of everything you should be fine.

    Hi flipflop.

What about a short course with Learndirect. I did my ECDL with them - they were very good.

I wouldn't look at Intermediate too much, as you won't understand it and it might put you off. Go over your Foundation stuff to make sure you remember what you've covered so far.

    Re:What shall I do??

thats a good idea as you do cover alot of the foundation work in intermediate just in more depth. And if you have that covered tehn it should be slightly easier to pick up the next steps

You should take some time to chill out too though cus once you start your next course you will wish you had more spare time and less workn to complete.

first of all i would get some sleep because that will be non exsistant when you start intermediate (no i am only kidding) as was said in a previous post, take the time in going over what you did in foundation and get your double entry fixed in your brain, i go to sleep going Dr this Cr that, my husband thinks i am wacky, however it is the best way, rehash everything you have learnt and make sure you understand it, also i did ecdl while i was inbetween courses and i also found it to be good!
    all the best x

    Hi

I did intermediate last year without doing the foundation course.

I did pass but I had to put in a lot of hard work. I found the most important thing was double entry. If you keep going over that when you get the chance then I'm sure you'll be ok when you start intermediate.

    Good luck

What about a course on I.T. or something, say Sage for example? Almost certainly when you've passed AAT and get into work, you're going to be doing your accounts on computers etc.

Good luck in whatever you decide. :)

    Hi.

There is a SAGE accounting Learn Direct course which you can do, I have completed this and didn't find it too difficult and its not to expensive either I think I paid about £20.00 for mine, but if an employer seeing you have done a course using the software that they use it will certainly get you Brownie Points.

    Re:What shall I do??

    Hi,

How about doing the ECDL through Learn Direct, I completed that course last year and it is by far the best computer course I have done. Or there is loads of other courses you could choose from as well, although some of them are expensive some of them are quite cheap as well, plus the more qualifications you have the better chance you have of getting better jobs as employers do like to see people with qualifications especially when they have got a certificate to prove that they can do something as, people can say that they can do something and it is not always correct. Even if you do a course on something slightly different it is always something to have under your belt and you never know when it will come in useful even doing a First Aid course as not many people do these and employers often look for this. My employer mentioned this to me when I went for my job interview and because there is only one person who is First Aid Qualified I am now going to be sent on a First Aid course (paid for by work.)

Let me know how you get on.

    Re:What shall I do??

i would suggest only making sure that you understand the principle of double entry book keeping - then leaving it there until the course starts.

for those who say you wont get any sleep when doing inter - i am VERY poor with numbers, did one afternoon a week at college (missed 2 when i got engaged  ) Did no study outside college time, then crammed as much revision as i could in to the last week and presto managed to pass!!
