What can I call myself?

Having passed ECR & FRA, if somebody (prospective emmployer) asked me how im getting on, can I now say im 'AAT part qualified' ?

    Yes, definately , on my paperwork and cards I have printed aat partial member

    I didn't think you could refer to the AAT at all on your cards/paperwork unless you were registered as a member in practice and then only in the formats specified by the AAT.

    For CV purposes, you are AAT part qualified or AAT finalist once you've passed your exams and can say you are a member once you have your membership.

    You can refer to aat student member - but when you qualify your are maat

    You are not able to refer to yourself as MAAT until you have completed your record of experience, paid your membership fee and been accepted by the AAT as a member. MAAT stands for Member of Association of Accounting Technicians.

    Once you have passed all your exams, prior to gaining membership status, you are a Passed Finalist.

    In the self employment section of the students pages, it states
    It is important...that you make no reference to the AAT in providing services to individuals or organisations and that you make clear that you are not a full or fellow member

    And there is no such thing as a partial member!

    You may noy be able to say your a partial member but I am at the same level at you and like to refer to myself as a part qualified Accounting Technician. (as do several agencies)

    To be on the safe side - say you are an AAT student.

    I always referred to myself as an AAT Student on my cv prior to qualification and then listed what I had completed, ie; foundation, intermediate, technician.

    There is no such thing as partial membership, only student, affiliate & member.
