Hi everyone
Is it just me or are BPP REALLY rubbish?
In december I was using the books to revist for my unit 4 sim and when I was doing some practice questions there was one about how to calculate Employers NIC so I did it, I know its x-91 etc etc then in the answers it said x-89 etc!!! Isnt that the old Employers NIC? why have they updated the questions but not the answers? How am I supposed to revise for the rest of my units if the answers are wrong?!

They really are rubbish arent they? Ive read all the threads about them and didnt think they were that bad. Then I received my welcome pack a few days ago... I signed up in September! And it asked me to enrol for the opening evening in the middle of January.
Hopeless

Have you completed Unit 4 with BPP?0 -

Hi,
When I did my Foundation I used the Osbourne Books are I thought that they were excellent. I am now doing my Foundation Payroll and I am using FTC books and so far so good with these books.
I also think that if you go to a good college it makes all the difference as well, because you then get the backing from your tutor as well which is often what people need.

Re:BPP books are wrong!
We have the BPP books supplied as part of our course and, by and large, I've not found them too bad. They can be a bit long winded in their explainations but they often extend things a bit beyond the strict requirements of the syllabus - which I think is a good thing.
Yes, the Osborne tutorials are way better but I wouldn't write off BBP for books just because they're useless at providing distance learning (the phrase 'not competent' springs to mind). Mistakes happen - there was even one in the live unit 3 skills test that I took last year - and I've not found BPP to be any worse in this regard than anyone else.
Blimey, I had a good word to say about BPP, who'd have thought it

Lol, who'dve thought
All my training materials are provided by BPP but I'm doing my actual training with A+ in the South West. At the time I was so annoyed with that mistake but looking back on it now it's quite funny.. I don't think I'd be saying the same thing if I was assessed incompetent though!
