I doing my homework and can't find an answer for:

Why do public sector organisations have greater responsibility to management of cash balances?

Please please help :?

    This relates to stewardship and accountability. Public sector organisations are not free to invest public funds in the same way as private organisations. There are other factors such as public sector orgs are not in existence to generate a profit and investment of public funds must be free from political or ethical bias. There are also stringent control procedures to protect against inappropriate investment and/or other types of fraud.
