Can anyone give me an un-biased view, as I am struggling with the choice that faces me after comletion of AAT. I know generally what the difference is with the two mentioned bodies. Please bear in mind with any reccomendations, that I am currently working in industry, and I also have no inclination to venture down the auditing path.
If anyone can give me any advice at all it would be appreciated,

Cheers

    Re:ACCA / CIMA

Have you looked at both websites? You say you are aware of the differences between each qualification so presumably you are therefore aware ACCA = practice/industry (generally) and CIMA = industry (generally). I say "generally" because neither ACCA nor CIMA are exclusively fitted to either career path.

To give an "un-biased" view would be unfair on CIMA as I have never done anything with CIMA nor have I got any form of connection with them. I'm an ACCA and know that qualification fits both industry and practice (regardless of whether you plan to go into practice or not) - but that isn't to say CIMA may not be more appropriate to your aspirations.

Maybe other members such as Neil can offer a more un-biased view but in my opinion (based on your original post) I would suggest you look at both websites and see which qualification you feel would do best for your career.

    Hope I have helped.

    Kind regards
    Steve
