Attention!!! Errors in FTC Unit 5 Pratice Simulation Suggested Solutions!!!!

I am doing distance learning with FTC and I have just received my unit 5 practice simulation with the suggest solution to check out.
Well...I found some errors in it, so guys be aware!! :shock:

-the totals in the credit side of the trial balance are wrong, should add up to £1060680 (suspense a/c included) instead the total shown is £1064945.
-Same problem when add up the adjustments, both sides should be £16321, but it shown £15721.
-The journal in task 7 the amount shown are wrong, the amounts for the suspense a/c and for the refund for an overpayment omitted are £5310, not £4265!

Does anyone in distance learning course noticed that? :roll:

    Be aware also there are posting for depreciation and disposal with VAT involve, topics never covered in the text book! :shock:

    i am finding this simuulation really very hard to finish. i finished so far till task 7 but i feel there is nothing right :(

    did you have 4 pages of accounts to balance off even there are no transactions on it? i find it ridiculous! what a waste of time!

    yes it real waste of time.... and i got very confused in task 2 where it ask to compare the balance on sale ledger accounts at 31 Dec 04 with the balances of sale ledger control account at 31 Dec 03 where there is no accounts for 03 what so ever..... i havent finished it yet and i decided not go for June exam as result of this simulation... i am feeling my self not confident enough :cry:

    Hehe in my simulation too there was that task!
    Have you start to study Unit 6?
    I am going to June exam even i am struggling with Unit 5 and still not have started study Unit 6...sometimes those simulations are much harder than the exam, I had the same worry in foundation and in fact the exam was so easy compare to simulations!

    I have'nt started unit 6 as well, i was planning to start unit 6 after June exam(unit 5) i will go on same plan and start unit 6 in June meanwhile i will try to strength my self in unit 5 and get confident, hopefully do both unit in Dec sitting. are you planning to take both units in June?

    I think you are right some times the exams are much easier. and if you got (osborne books) there are some practise simulation and exams at the end of each unit they are reasonable not very hard like the one we have......... :roll:

    I am taking both units in June! I have just started today Unit 6 meanwhile I will do some practise for Unit 5. I am "almost" full time student ( i work only 2 days par week) so I should make it just in time for the exams!
    I bought as well osborne book unit 5, it's very clear and with lots of example and activities!
    How many hours do you spend studying?

    iam arranging myself to study between two to three hours aday and that depend on how busy iam. iam not working at the moment but supposed to start work expierence after holidays (two day aweek). is it your first time to do distance learning or have you done it before? it is my first time to study by distance learning. have you got osborne work book as well it is very nice simple and clear.
