Unit 1 portfolio statement - business environment

Hi guys!

In the portfolio for Unit 1, under business environment the evidence criteria for point 6 states 'cheques including crossing and endorsements'.

Can any give me an idea of what they expect for this?

    Hi Jo,

    I haven't done foundation, but i would have thought that

    the crossings:

    a/c payee only

    not negotiable

    endorsements:

    3rd party chqs - where you sign them on the back to hand over to a third person?

    detailing whether and in what situations these are allowable and the rulings on them?

    Hi again!

    Thanks for that, I'm just not sure what to put in as evidence as I don't do anything like that at work!

    Can I say I don't do that in my role, but have learnt through AAT and my own personal banking and give examples of that?

    Hi Jo,

    think you should focus on the security issues or non security re both of these. fluff them up a bit re security and fraud, and theft!!!

    Include a cheque for £50 payable to your tutor - that should do the trick :)
