Interview Tuesday

I have an interview on Tuesday for a job as Finance Manager in a secondary school. (Currently working in a primary school.)
I have been told that there will be a 45 minute written task and a 45 minute interview by a panel of four.
I haven't had an interview for 12 years, and never had to complete a task.
Any suggestions or advice for either area would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jackie

Re:Interview Tuesday
Hi Jackie
The written task is usually tasks that you would be expected to do in the job that you applied for. The tasks for a recent Bursar job I had to complete an Excel spreadsheet for salaries and forecast items within the budget. The interview is also based around tasks that you would be expected to be able to do - such as if you were facing a budget deficit how would you go about balancing it. They also ask the usual about your strengths and weaknesses and what skills you can bring to the school.
Best of luck for tomorrow0 -
Re:Interview Tuesday
Hi Eva, thanks for your reply. The task was just as you stated and I only made one error. The interview went very well, but I asked not to be considered for the post as after an hour of questions and answers I felt that it wasn't what I wanted to do.
It as nice to go into it with some idea of what to expect, so thank you for that.
