    LOL - congrats, Dean. However, I always get nervous before an inspection because some officers are more difficult than others to deal with and some want to look in more depth than others.

    There was one officer and she was actually very nice.

    She was there inspecting ALL 3 of my clients business. There isn't that many transaction that go through two of them as they went dormant while they continued to develop the other, quite complex really... anyway she dealt with all the formalities today and has informed me that there is nothing out of the ordinary although she doesn't require proof of one of the input tax claims that the client didn't bring the paper work with him today grrr clean that bit up and all done so I am a happy bunny :)

    Congratulations. VAT inspectors are mostly human. If you treat them well they are genarally nice people. I recently attended an inspection during which the inspector used her own floppy disk to extract reports from Sage. This made the inspection much quicker than usual for this particular client, but it highlighted to me that HMRC are developing ways to ensure that areas of particular interest to them are easily highlighted.
    Did your inspector use their own software add-ons?
