Extension Update

Finally met with the architect last night (he has been on holiday).

He tried to bluster about how it was the 'extras' that we wanted that added to the cost. Reminded him that we had told him that we needed an extra bedroom and bathroom and only had £35K to spend (+VAT) and that he had 'planned' the extras - luckly we found our original sketch that we gave him.

Suddenly we can reduce the cost by £8-£9K, he will redo the plans without extra cost and reduce his fee.

There is light at the end of the tunnel - or more importantly a bathroom without two teenagers in it!

Thanks for the advice people - sometimes it just helps to moan and have people listen.
