Why not download some past papers? That will soon push you on to the right areas for revision. 8)

    Hi

With the Health and Safety you can get a lot of inormation off the Net.

What I also did was take photos from my work place showing various hazards e.e boxes in the way, trailing wire etc and stating how they could be improved.

    Hope this has helped you!

    Good luck :)

The internet is definitely the best source. Once you're aware of the various regulations, commonsense comes into play and you'll soon start piecing it all together. Awareness is the key. Good luck - 'break a leg' as they say on stage, though not by tripping over your H & S file! 8)

I'm afraid we students all have to do these topics - by our own hand! Whilst reviewing subject matter over the net is perfectly acceptable, viewing other students work is not. AAT considers this a serious offence, and I personally consider this to be unfair and inconsiderate to the students which have spent their own time and effort on these elements.

If you are having problems with these subjects, might I suggest that you speak with your tutor - or if you are doing distance learning - you use the same effort you have shown in this forum on your distance learning tutor.

I apologise for being so rude on this, but whilst I fully embrace the discussion forum in every other aspect, I find this chasing other students for these elements wholly unacceptable.

I and my fellow students have all worked really hard on these topics - on our own. We read the student record book as to what is required and conversed with our tutors, and took a planned approach to finishing these elements in good time before the June exams.

I am also surprised that these messages have not been picked up by the web invigilator.

Is there any need for that when someone is just asking for help

    Re:Unit 22 & 23

Thank you for your comment Paul,

whilst I am not against anyone asking for help - indeed, this is what the discussion forum is for - it has been detailed previously that the aspects of projects may not be requested from other students via this forum.

I'm sure that you can appreciate if you have spent x hours on your reports, and have shown it to be all your own work - you would not appreciate anyother student perusing your work. We are all in the same boat here - and all considered competent students.

Thats fair enough, but what can you gain by posting that earlier bold statement, except maybe a smug satisfaction for getting someone else into trouble

    Re:Unit 22 & 23

It would be difficult to get anyone in to trouble if they weren't breaking the rules in the first place.

As a full member who worked hard at getting my examination results and membership, I find it increasingly disappointing that the examinations are being "cheated" in this way by some users of this forum. It devalues everyone's work.

May I also suggest you try reading the following link: http://www.aat.org.uk/forums/posts/list/11057.page

Good luck with producing your own work and getting your results fairly - a much more meaningful result, I promise you.

    Re:Unit 22 & 23

Thank you Paul for your comments - I still stand by what I have detailed earlier. I can assure you that there is no 'smug satisfaction' intimated, we have all worked hard to get to the point where each of us are at now, but the point below is quite clearly stated on all of the forums. Surely any student should expect the same ethics and rules for everybody participating. I do not see this an unreasonable request.

Forum use and potential misconduct (Steve Taylor)

The AAT encourages you to seek advice on the discussion forums to develop your competence. This largely works well, with more experienced students giving good advice to their peers. However, general advice should not be confused with requests for actual evidence for the user to pass off as their own work to demonstrate their competence. This would be deemed as malpractice and is not condoned by the AAT or the UK regulatory authorities. For this reason requests for portfolios, unit 10 projects or other evidence will be removed from the discussion forums.

The Forum Terms & Conditions give further advice on the use of this web service.

You are also advised that if you are struggling with any aspect of your work then the first point of call for support should be your tutor at the centre. You may also find our resource centre helpful

    You're welcome, Ruby.

    I'd just like to add:

What kind of professional will the cheats be? How can they be trusted to abide by the rules and ethics of the AAT if they are prepared to lie and cheat their way to the qualification?

Those who do not abide by the rules and ethics bring everyone in to disrepute.

    Re:Unit 22 & 23

I can only assume that this person was asking for an e mail to be sent, containing advice of which documents or evidence to include. I certainly do not expect it was a request for hard evidence. I am part qualified at technician level, and I must admit, my unit22/23 portfolios were completed with hard work at foundation level

    Re:Unit 22 & 23

I was told by my tutor that units 21, 22 and 23 are the easiest; because they're just a bit of research and common sense. If people can't complete those without help I think they'll find the rest of Foundation really difficult.

It's not fair when people ask for help on something which is so basic; just because they're lazy. If you're lazy you shouldn't be doing AAT, unless you're willing to really work at it.
