Hi

Does anyone use software that allows you to send your purchase invoice remittances by email/fax from sage? I couldn't seem to see if Sage actually do this but was approached by a rep from Albany and it sounded like a very good idea to cut costs and time.

Any advice of good software would be great. 8)

Sage can send remittances by e-mail. Can't remember how, but I'm sure the help desk would be happy to assist (if no one on here can).

In Sage you go into remittance from bank account (after you have posted the payment) highlight the appropriate remittance click print and then you get an e-mail option.

I've just read an article in Student Accountant (ACCA student magazine) about how Inland Revenue don't like people sending invoices by email because they can be manipulated. I'm sure that wouldn't affect remittances though.

    Hi

Thanks for your replies, I need to look into it more as our email system is a bit querky so it may need the data exporting to our network outbox.

I will look at the things you have mentioned and probably talk to Sage.
