Last week my Tutors went to a conference to meet the new PCR Examiner, and apprently the students that Passed Section 1 PCR (in the Dec 05 exam) but failed section 2 are having the papers remarked by a new marking system, students dont need to apply to have this done or pay, it will be done automatically students will be notified of the results over the next few weeks.

I assume this applies to all students who passed section one but failed section 2. Only Dec 05 exam. Apparantley theres a new marking system.0 -

I heard the same news from AAT student services. They expect it to be done before June 06 exam. That might be good news for some!

Re:Dec 2005 PCR Exams - Re-marking May 2006
Oohh... interesting. I knew as soon as I walked out I'd picked up the wrong figure (why does brain kick in when its too late?). I thought they already awarded marks for a "correct" answer after using wrong figure, so how is this going to help?
Although must admit, anything to reduce doing 4 exams in June is welcome.
Jan2310, this has possibly come about because the PCR pass rate was SOooo low in comparison to the other exams, about 52% as opposed to 70 something; so they may have decided (if its true) that the marking was too harsh? The pass rates are listed somewhere on this site.0 -

If Anyone at AAT is reading this thread would they be able to comment and let us know for definate if remarking is actually going to take place and how close to the exams will we be informed if anyone is luckily enough to be given a pass? :roll:0 -
Re:Dec 2005 PCR Exams - Re-marking May 2006
That would be so great if the December 2005 PCR was to be re-marked as i also failed on section two.
i was surprised i failed as though i did really well.
Fingers crossed they do remark and i pass so don't have to sit it 5 weeks tomorrow!

Hi,
Has anyone got any update on the remarking/reviewing process? When it is going to happen?

Fingers crossed everyone0 -
Re:Dec 2005 PCR Exams - Re-marking May 2006
is it only the 2nd section being marked i failed the first but passed the second, seems unfair if they look at both sections?0 -
Re:Dec 2005 PCR Exams - Re-marking May 2006
I have been informed by student services that should remarking take place it will be for section 2 part 2 only and results will be out by 26th may. so keep revising for now.

I phoned AAT student services on Tuesday, and they informed me that i should receive a response by today, i dont currently know whether or not i have received anything as my post isn't delivered until after i have left for work. I hope to hear sooner than the 26th May, as i am already taking 2 exams, and it would be nice to know where i went wrong!!.0 -
Re:Dec 2005 PCR Exams - Re-marking May 2006
i didn't ask, thats all they told me on the phone, give them a ring but it looks like we will have to wait for final results. Sorry thats all i know.0 -
Re:Dec 2005 PCR Exams - Re-marking May 2006
When i phoned student services on Tuesday i was also told that a decision would be made by the end of the week as to weather they would remark the papers, then when i phoned this morning i was told that yes they are going to remark them but only section 2 pt 2 and everyone would hear by the 26th May as there were over 700 papers to do. So keep revising and then hopefully we'll alll be prepared but then wont have to actually sit it.0 -
