Feeling fed up

I felt really hard done by failing PCR at xmas, as I had felt really confident. I am sitting DFS and PTC in June and I have no confidence left, especially as I just found out that I havent made the group of papers being re marked. Sorry for sounding pessimistic, just need to have a moan occasionally! Good luck to everyone for the summer exams!!

Re:Feeling fed up
If you have completed the course and revised well, then you will have done all that you can. Try some past papers, they should boost your confidence. Good luck! 8)0 -
Re:Feeling fed up
When I was coming up to exams the dog and cat used to run when I started sighing and the children used to pour me a drink when I started swearing! So we do all understand how you feel.
My partner helped put it in perspective by saying that, even if I did fail I would still know more than I had before I started and as long as I had learnt something then it hadn't been a waste of time. Oh and the children learnt how to serve drinks!
Good luck0 -
Re:Feeling fed up
What a wonderful piece of advice from your partner Gill - never looked at it that way.
And for Paul, I think by this stage in the game morale is low and panic is setting in (I know I feel lower than I have in a long time) but rest assured we are here to help each other.
Best wishes

Re:Feeling fed up
know how you feel, failed PCR in DEC but have put in to do again along with DFS and BTC in June. Still dont know if paper is being remarked so still have to revise. But i am optimistic that i should pass at least 2 papers and will just do another resit. - its not the end of the world.

Re:Feeling fed up
Its so nice to hear I'm not the only one feeling a bit low. I know its not long now and all that cliche type of advice but that stuff from Gill's partner really is a refreshing view point.
Also glad to hear I'm not the only one swearing and sighing - I also could do olympic book throwing after a long stint of work.
Good luck guys 8)

Re:Feeling fed up
You are not alone, everyone on my course is fed up (that’s 10 people), we are all doing DFS and PEV (and I think I might also be doing PCR, still waiting for feedback...!!) Not long to finish, just think 4 weeks and it will be over. It is comforting to feel that you are not on your own.0 -
Re:Feeling fed up
Has anyone ever took more than a year to finish technician? I feel I am going to be finishing off next year. Havent had a good year, and Ive really struggled through.0 -
Re:Feeling fed up
I know of several people who took more than a year to do tech level. A lot of people on my course took this level over 2 years, and I took just over a year myself as I failed DFS last June but passed it in December.
Most people by this stage feel fed up as it is hard work, but it is worth it in the end.0 -
Re:Feeling fed up
Hi Paul
This is my second year doing Technician and if I fail either PEV or PCR in June I will be going into a third year - so don't despair.

Re:Feeling fed up
I totally agree with you about feeling down after PCR in December.Out of 20,15 of my class failed it!I can only agree with what Gill's partner said and add that my other half says he'll always be proud of me for having the guts to do what 99% of the population don't,which is to try.
My paper is getting re-marked but am not getting my hopes up too much, don't want to be disappointed again!!
Good luck to all in summer. :thumbup:0
