was wondering if anyone could tell me the journal for handling acquisitions when it comes to depreciation please?

    I assume you are paying for it?
    You debit the asset account
    Credit bank

    Credit Depr (B/S)
    Debit Depr (P&L)

    Doe this make sense - I haven't done this for 2 1/2 years.
