Units 5 & 6 - How long?

Hi,

I will be sitting Unit 30 next month and have yet to start Unit 31 (let alone be assessed!). I would then like to sit Units 5 & 6 of the advanced certificate (diploma route) in Dec.

My question is whether this will be too much to fit in between Mid-June and the exams in Dec? (5 and a half months study time) Are units 5 and 6 like sitting two unit 30's in terms of what you have to learn, or are units 5 and 6 more like 1 unit 30 in total? (i.e. unit 5 = 1/2 unit 30, unit 6 = 1/2 unit 30). It is likely that I will not be in the country during the June 07 sitting and I don't want to wait until Dec 07!

Thanks for the help,
Sarah

I don't really know how Units 5 & 6 compare with the diploma route units. They're both pretty substantial units, though and there's quite a lot to learn. However, my feeling is that doing them both in 5 months is about do-able but will take a lot of work. If you've the time and commitment then go for it. I'd also keep things under review, if it is getting too much then it's better to take and pass one than failing both.
