Mark ups and Margins - Please Help

Hi

I am really struggling to get to grips with mark ups and margins.

Are there basic formulas that I can work with ???

I am looking at different examples and they seen to use different formulas. is there a general rule when working with mark ups and margins ??

    Don't worry about not knowing your way around - we are all here to help - I also thought that someone else might have explained it better and/or easier than I would have done!!!! The last thing I would want to do is confuse someone just before the exams.
