Is it okay to round up and down on the pence like normal - especially with the results of indexation?

I personally would not round the indexation factors, but I have been rounding the indexation allowance once I have used the indexation factors. I don't think its a good idea to round with NICs. Also if you have to fill in a CT form, in the answers they always show the pence as there is a box for that. If there is no CT form, I think its ok to round.

Looking at the answers to past papers should help - if the answwers are rounded, it should be ok to do so in the exam!

I always round to 2 decimal places. Don't think they can mark you down too much on rounding anyway.

Certainly though, you dont round the indexation factors.

    Thanks both,

I meant the results of applying the indexation factor (but get given these anyway and these are to 3d.p) but I should have made my posting clearer

    Good luck all

With indexation allowance always round to 3.d.p and you'll be fine.
