Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Well i'm fairly confident really though slighlty worried was first one out after an hour an half. I either did really well or failed badly. Roll on August0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Hi,
Fairly confident myself - didn't struggle with anything!
One question though - on the timesheet I did the normal hours then classed everything over the 8hrs as overtime - ie, 2 hours over time as time + a half. How did everyone else tackele it??0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I think I did OK - no nasty surprises in there. I took about 2 hours but there were a few out well before me.
I did the timesheet question in just the same way.
Chris
PS I guess I should change my avatar now

good luck all

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Hi
Do anyone know when the question paper will be posted on the aat website. I know the answers wont be on.

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Hopefully did okay, no nasty surprises really but think I must have reading blindness as I never noticed the bit on describing process costing etc that said use examples, I thought it just said describe briefly
but I guess you won't lose too much for that 0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Did someone struggle in task 1.1? I know sounds silly because it's very easy.....

Re:ECR - how did we all do?

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
So, what method was it?0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Hi i cant say yet what it was because of the time zone. people in some countries may not have sat their exams yet.
Sorry

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I had that same problem, couldnt get any of the three methods to match up with my figures, I hope it doesnt mess me up too much. In the end I chose one and did my workings based on that but it cant have been right :?
I also didnt get the normal/abnormal gains/losses....left that blank because I didnt have a clue....I hope I can still get through on what I did do. Confident on the allocation & apportionment, and some other parts, hope its enough.
i wish we didnt have to wait so long for the results!! :shock:0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Hi what date is the results out. I know it is some time in August.

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I've got down August 15th, but please correct meif i'm wrong0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Hi the results are out on 15th August - 9 weeks tomorrow, this will be the worst 9 weeks of my life!!!0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I dont know how I did, my brain froze half way through the allocation and apportion section !
But I answered all the questions to the best of my ability so that's all I can think about right now, and I'm not going to dwell on it, as there's nothing I can do about it now, and I've already said to my OH that if I fail then so be it, and I'll just re-sit in December ..
I'm thinking really positive to day !!

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I signed up for that when I got my FRA results, I can't seem to find out though how I do that again though. My brain is fried after today !
From memory there is a cut off point though to sign up for that, anyone know what that is and where we can sign up ?

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I tried my best so I guess I'll just have to wait and see how I actually did.
Am a bit annoyed at myself because I didn't show much working especially
for the allocation & apportion bit and the workings that i did show for other questions were all over the place/ question page - I guess i was just trying to get on with the question and didn't think about the rest
I only just read the link that was on an earlier thread about workings!
I know what I have to do now for FRA.

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
hello - are we allow to ask questions about the exam paper yet? i have query about margin of safety0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I had a complete blank on abnormal losses etc so just wrote anything rather than nothing. I know that was wrong
On the time sheet, I put all overtime as indirect costs and the 2 hours training and 4 hours stocktaking as indirect as well. Did anybody else? :?0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Hi, I did it the same way to :-)
Was the 3rd out after an hour and a half, would have left earlier but was paranoid that I had missed something out as I had finished after just 75 mins

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I did that to... as the timesheet did show the overtime as indirest costs :-D0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Hi, you can sign up on the AAT for your results to be e-mailed to you. Otherwise i also believe its the 15th August

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I don't think I should read anymore comments!! Apart from the abnormal losses questions In which I wrote a load of waffle  , I thought I had done okay. I am now reading some comments and I am beginning to doubt my answers. I thought the margin of safety and break even table was quite straightforward. What does everyone else think? :?0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I think I did alright, but was thrown by the abnormal loss/gain theory question. I did try to answer it but because I hadn't revised the "text book answer" so wasn't too confident my answer was what the AAT was looking for. So I hope to pass but it's really hard to tell because I have no idea how the AAT mark the paper.describing process costing etc that said use examples, I thought it just said describe briefly but I guess you won't lose too much for that
Kinda waffled my way through that question
Do you have to get a certain percentage in each question to pass or just get a certain percentage for the whole paper to pass? I hope we don't have to pass every question cause then I'm screwed with the abnormal gain/loss question.workings that i did show for other questions were all over the place/ question page
Same with me.
And eek reading everyone's replies I think I've screwed up on the Direct/Indirect part of the wages question. I put anything up to 8 hours as direct since that all related to the working day. (I was trying to think what would happen in my work - not that I really have an idea but...)I thought the margin of safety and break even table was quite straightforward. What does everyone else think?
Yeah so did I! At first I was a bit  but when I read it through I saw that it was easier than I had thought.0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
hI, IVE JUST REGISTERED TO USE THIS- WOULDN'T HAVE GUESSED IVE BEEN STUDYING AAT FOR 2 YEARS.
i THINK THE EXAM WAS EASY TODAY, BUT I COULDNT DO THE SECOND SECTION, IT WAS EASY IF YOU KNEW THE FORMULAS, BUT I DIDNT, i DIDNT REVISE ENOUGH.
i JUST HOPE I WILL PASS WEDNESDAYS EXAM, COZ I CAN RESIT THE COSTING IN DECEMBER, BUT IF I FAIL THE FINANCIAL RECORDS, IVE GOT TO DO THE WHOLE YEAR AGAIN
sEEMS EVERYONE DONE OK, DID ANYONE DO CRAP LIKE ME :?0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
I think it's a certain percentage in each section to pass. The AAT don't give out pass marks so it's not possible to say what you need to get.
Taking too much notice of what other people have done is a real recipe for stress. I always read those posts and think "Bugger, I got *that* wrong." I'm pretty sure I've done enough to pass though, which is more than can be said for FRA back in Dec - I was *really* worried about that one.
Every time there's a good few folks who swear they've really made a mess of things and end up passing do no-one should get too worried, you won't know til you get the results. In any case, you can't change anything now so you might as well relax - unless you've got FRA on Weds that is

Re:ECR - how did we all do?
Struggled a bit on the Break-even figures and M.O.S. can anyone remember the answer - would be nice to know if I was anywhere near!!!0 -
Re:ECR - how did we all do?
i can remember the break even and MOS data, can we post it yet though? email if not.
with regards to todays paper, i was not looking forward to it, but i was quite surprised and happy by the time i left. don't want to feel confident until i get results, but i'm hoping i've done enough.
