VAT knowledge

Is anything about VAT covered in PTC? I've got a job interview at a firm of solicitors on Friday and part of the job spec is "VAT knowledge to reclaim VAT on entertaining etc". I did do Unit 7 at Intermediate level last year but I can't remember a damn thing about the VAT bits.

If there is anyone out there who works or has worked in a firm of solicitors and has some idea of exactly what VAT stuff I need to know, please tell me because I don't want to look a right idiot on Friday.

    I don't work for solicitors but I do believe VAT can only be claimied on for the value relevant to someone employed by the business company?
