How did everyone feel the dfs exam was? I didnt find it easy at all, there was sooo much to do in a short space of time! I agree ias's were ok but come off it it was by no means easy!!!

    Hi

    I thought that it went ok but I agree that there was a lot to do. Considering that there was a lot to do (and some may have struggled to get to section 2) do you think that this could be a bit unfair if competence has to be shown in both sections? i.e. A couple of hours for section 1 and only 55 minutes for section two.

    Do you think AAT should look at the balance between the two sections?

    I found that time just slipped away from me, I on the consolidated balance sheet I wrote the 17k as 11k so was 5k out at the end, then spent 20 mins trying to spot it!

    I ran out of time on some of the wordy ones & had to report to one liners for some of the questions.

    All my statements balanced & I answered every question tho, I'll just have to wait and see

    I agree, I very quickly ran out of time and found fellow students leaving b4 I had even started section 2, which then meant leaving section 1 to make a start on 2 for the sake of trying to gain competence in both section!!

    What a nightmare

    No problems with leaving time to complete section 2 - I did it first! I fact I jumper around the paper and got down all the definitions before I forgot them, then got stuck into the calculations leaving the big balance sheet / income statement task until last. They when I was agonising over getting it to balance I knew that it didn't matter as I had nothing left to do. :P

    i balanced everything in section 1, even my cashflow worked. Im just worried now in case section 2 isn't competant. I will be so gutted. I just waffled
