Re:aat foundation help
Scotty - get a life, this person's asking for help. So what if they've posted the request several times?0 -

Scotty - get a life, this person's asking for help, so what if they've posted the request a few times, in fact doesn't that encourage a better response?0 -
Re:aat foundation help
Donkey - you need to get some manners.
The whole purpose of only posting once and in the most appropriate forum, is to save people replying to a message that has already been answered, and so that the poster knows where to find the answers. New posts are displayed in a different colour, so people will know it is there.

Re:aat foundation help
Scott - my manners are fine, ask my Mum. I understand what you're saying and fair enough, posting once saves on duplication/ effort. But in this case the more posts/ responses the better surely?
Maybe this highlights a weakness on the forum as well as ar5ey remarks like yours.0 -
Re:aat foundation help
Donkey - you have shown yourself for what you are, now leave it.

Re:aat foundation help
And likewise you show yourself as arrogant and pompous by posting - multiple post - it's a forum, get a grip. People asking for help, nothing more.0 -
Re:aat foundation help
But it's not just people asking for help is it Donkey - it's people attacking other forum members and being abusive.

Re:aat foundation help
And what do you think your - multiple post - remarks are? Like I say, personally I think it highlights a weakness in the forum environment and the availability of appropriate 'rooms' but I also think that as opposed to posting obnoxious responses, people such as yourself should instead help other users - as I'm sure you have in the past, but then, alas, you've resorted to this supposed male arrogance thing.
Maybe your way will have a more positive effect - by kicking people into touch so to speak - like I say, it just comes across as obnoxious. If I've offended ya good.
That was a joke.0 -
Re:aat foundation help
thanks for that donkey, i appreciate it, i do need help desperately and as i am new to this forum i didnt know anything about the scotty rule of multiple posts, but hey now i do. Its a good job us inexperienced aat ers have such mature and approachable people on this forum who we can rely on for help. Thanks again, its good to know that there are people out their who care about the little people.0 -
Re:aat foundation help
please do accept my sincere apologies i must have missed the scotty multiple post rule when reading the rules, i always understood that this forum was used to help others and not bully people, who made u rule master all of a sudden?
if you cannot help me fair enough, but somehow highlighting that i have already posted this request for help once doesnt help me in the slightest, however i am relieved to know that if i ever need a stickler for the rules and a task master i can always post you scotty, thanks again for all your really helpful remarks theyve helped me enormously. Cheers!0 -
Re:aat foundation help
No worries, I think I've made my point and to be fair, Scotty aint the only culprit. I just figured...you're new to the forums, starting out...and most importantly...you're asking for help and getting remarks like that!!! Flippin heck!!! Maybe the forums should feature something more specific for requests simliar to yours but that's down to the AAT.
Did you get your query sorted anyway?0
