Hi Guys,
I'm currently working on a practice exam paper and need your help. Can anyone tell me where I should enter cash book entries into the accounts, as I just cant figure it out. Thanks

    I just have to enter entries from a cash book into the accounts

    If the entries are already on the right hand side of the cash book i.e.. payments then you post to the individual ledgers (in the main ledger) on the opposite side(left hand side), provided the situation at the beginning of the paper says that the cash book forms part of the double entry. If not then there should be a bank account to post the opposite side to. So for example you have a payment for telephone £50.00 on the right hand side in the cash book, then you just put £50.00 on the left hand side on the telephone ledger.

    Does that make any sense whatsoever??
