Hi,
I put mine in the usage buget to0 -
Re:PCR, how did you get on????
Its was material wastage so it went into the materials budget, or materials usage if thats what you want to call it

Re:PCR, how did you get on????
Thanks for that, made me feel more confident know!!!!!
In your revised production budget, did you change it to the new order and then tell them how to obtain this or did you change it to suit the hrs available?
Sorry for all the questions
Thanks0 -
Re:PCR, how did you get on????
Can't really remember now
but I think it was adjusted to meet the new order.

Re:PCR, how did you get on????
It wasn't possible to know which product to make some of with the restriction, so I think we were to do the revised production budget as if there were no restriction and make all of the additional order.
Yes I too put the materials wastage in the materials purchases budget.
I thought it was a great paper. Even people in my class who don't think they are any good at costing thought the paper was better than past ones. There didn't seem to be as many questions, only two in each section. Is that normal???0 -
Re:PCR, how did you get on????
Hi
I thought the paper was surprisingly straight forward. I found some of the past papers quite difficult but this one by comparison was straight forward. The limiting factor in section 1 wasn't difficult and there was no closing stock to worry about on section 2. Everyone in my class kept going over the paper to see if they had missed a question! Is it because there has been a low pass rate in the past? Having said that, I hope that I pass!0 -
Re:PCR, how did you get on????
I found it much easier to understand than December 2005. Feel more confident of passing it than the other exams I sat.0 -
Re:PCR, how did you get on????
i think i did ok but for some reason i got stuck on the last part of 1.1. "what was the value of the opening stock to be carried forward" or something like that. I read that to be the value of the closing stock so i think i messed up big time! But its only a small part of the question.
I also put the wasteage in the materials budget.
I didnt know what a capital statement was and got that answer totally wrong! i hope they don't fail me for that, i couldn't fathom how weighted that part was.

Re:PCR, how did you get on????
I've just started PCR Unit 9 at my local College and wonder if anyone has any useful revision notes or tips. Books suggested are Managing Performance and Resources (Tutorial) Osborne. Last year I was not on the Internet and I struggled, sometimes I think I looked into it too much (Intermediate). I seemed to bog myself down a lot in reading up things. I know this is no harm as you do understand it better. However this year I want to be more organised and would welcome any useful tips in order to use my study time more successfully. Would welcome any advice.
Thanks
