Does anyone know of any courses to go on for assembling Ikea furniture. I am stressed beyond measure in assembling my office furniture. Oh well, at least its a change from stressing about unorganised clients!
I'll open a bottle of wine, maybe that will help.

    There is a regular entry in the Trades section of our local newspaper from a man offering just this service. He makes a living assembling flat pack furniture for his clients!
    If you find a course, this could be a new side line for you !! :lol:

    ha ha shellagh. very true If accountancy doesn't work, I'm sure I can turn to furniture assembly.

    For me the Golden Rules are:
    1.Don't bother with the instructions - will only lead to stress,confusion and a headache.
    2. Bottle of wine before hand eases stress (by which time don't care if have headache) and thinking you can do it!
    3. If number 2 fails: ask the goergeous bloke from down the road to come round & do it for you!!!
    4 If number 3 doesn't work pick from following options:
    A) ask boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, son, daughter, mother or father to assist.
    B)give up return to store and ask for a refund.

    PS any of the above do work :D

    I noticed when Sweden played England the other night they played a flat pack four!

    My husband and I had a race with two Ikea chairs. By the time I'd got all my bolts in he was still struggling with the second which was apparently "faulty" Yeah whatever. Girls are just better at that sort of thing.

    Agree with ignore the instructions

    also you will have a bit left over.

    ON another note - any suggestions what to do with the many alan keys I have collected from flat pack over the years???
