What kinds of business insurance do you have, what is your experience in dealing with brokers and do you think you have a good deal?
I have taken out the AAT recommended Professional Indemnity cover from Trafalgar. As for other insurance for small businesses, can anyone recommend a good broker or website.

Thank you

What other insurance do you want?

If you are working from home, you don't employe anyone and you visit your clients at their premises then you dont need any other insurances.

Although you could provide your clients with insurance against any investigations and for that you would need to have a chat with a broker.

    Thank you for your replies
Lots of home based business owners like to have public liability insurance as well as PII. Claudia and Dean,(or anyone else) do you think this is necessary?
I'm currently waiting for details from the FSB insurance service, but I did find one with £2.5m for £50 pa. I just feel a bit more comfortable with a recommendation.

Trafalgar have PL as a bolt-on to their PI insurance for not a lot more - If clients will not be visiting you at home then it shouldn't be necessary.

Another thing to check though is your home contents insurance - does this cover all your computers etc etc - and are they aware that you are working from home. If not this could void your policy.
