Hi everyone!
I haven't been on the discussion forum in a while so was very pleased to see this payroll site.
Anyway, if i hopefully pass my technician exams in June, i was thinking of doing a Payroll course. Could anybody tell me where to find information on a good course? I hear AAT do a payroll course?
Also, i did payroll in my old job, but i don't do any now so would this be a disadvantage?
Thanks in advance for any replies!

Re:All new to me!
Good luck with your exams in June! No - the fact that you don't do payroll now won't go against you studying to do it. In fact, studying payroll will only go to enforce your CV.
Go for it and don't worry about not doing payroll now - it won't affect your studies.
best regards

Re:All new to me!
H Kati,
I am currentlu studying the AAT Payrol, before I started the course I hardly knew anything about the course but since September I feel as though I have learnt loads and have came on in leaps and bounds.
The only part of the course that you may struggle on with not working no Payroll at teh moment is getting evidence for your Portfolio, but there is Simulations which you can do so that you can cover all the evidence.

Thanks Nic
I work in an Accounts Practice where the receptionist does the payroll, so i might ask my boss if i can be trained as well.
One last thing, how do i go on about finding information about the AAT Payroll course?0 -
Re:All new to me!
Hi,
i am currently studying AAT payroll through Premier Training as a distance learning course as i am also at my local college studying AAT Technician
Most distance learning places have websites and/or are featured in the AAT magazine

Re:All new to me!
Hi, I have just started the payroll NVQ2 course with Premier as well. I don't work in payroll or any accounting area at the moment so I am a LITTLE concerned.

Hi debbie, how is the payroll course going. My e-mail is shirley@marrable.org.uk. I have just completed my first assignment- I found it really boring and kept having to put it down but I got there in the end.
