I've just started study CIMA, but am disappointed at the Tax unit so far just seems to be income statement and cash flows no actual corporate tax or income tax workings, Can anyone recommend any good tax courses to do to build up my tax knowledge, or should I quit CIMA and do ACCA.

    Hi

CIMA do Certificate in Tax that can be taken at anytime.

    Have a look at (http://www.cimaglobal.com/cps/rde/xchg/SID-0AAAC544-A0ECE7D5/live/root.xsl/13717.htm).

You could quit CIMA and go over to ACCA but it would mean starting over again, even if you have some CIMA papers the exemptions for part completion are little if any. Also, performing tax work takes a lot more experience than just an exam as tax issues are rarely as straight forward as they are in the text books!

Depends on why you chose CIMA initially. Which qualification really grabs you?
