I’m a little confused with regards to the portfolio - I have done nothing to this, I did ask my college and they said it’s being complied by them? So wot is the marking system on this or is there not one? Should I start to panic?
I pass my exam and hope everyone else has!

    I would just relax and feel lucky that your college is doing this for you :)

    The portfolio seems to cause more confusion and worry than just about anything else for new students when it really shouldn't. All it is, is a collection of the evidence that you have produced to show you're compentent in each of the units. The vast majority of evidence will be your skills tests along with any supplementary work set by your tutor to cover any gaps and work you've done for Units 22 and 23. Everything needs to be cross-referenced to the unit requirements on the student record card and that's pretty much it.

    The portfolio isn't marked as such as each unit should have been already signed off by your tutor and the internal verifier.

    That's my understanding too. Right from the start my tutor said not to worry about it. I've trusted her all the way and just followed what she asked me to do.

    She'll soon shout if I've missed anything!

    I really do think that some tutors and the AAT should explain the portfolio process a bit better. It's actually no big deal yet there's loads of posts on here fretting over it.

    I passed ECR so I can start worrying about Tech level now :D

    I was confused by this, but I called my tutor and because there are so many doing AAT at my college, basically I didn't have to do anything because they haven't time to go through each portfolio one by one :? 8) anyway I passed the PLB, and well about 95% content that everything is ok, but stil a bit unsure about the portfolio.

    I suspect a lot of colleges don't really check the portfolios before they're signed off. However, the external verifiers will probably have a look at a few of the portfolios when they visit and if they're not right the college should get a ticking off. Nothing for us students to worry about though, if your portfolio is signed off then that's all that's needed.
