I'm writing this email to share my experience today and because I'm chuffed!

I got in work at 7.45 am this morning to get the email I've been waiting 2 months for! The server was down, it stayed that way all day long!
I eventually got my result when my employer took me aside and said if you want to know now I can tell you. From the look on his face I knew it was bloody good news! YES I PASSED! And now I'm going to sit down and enjoy a lovely chinese meal with my boyfriend and look forward to Technician

Moral of this story: CHEER UP! Look on the bright side of life!

Good luck to those who haven't got their results yet and welldone to those who have and passed. Comiserations to those who didn't...no worries...you'll get it next time! Have faith :D
Have you got a story to tell? Even if you want to let out a little anger or happiness - leave a post!

    Hi Alicia

I was really worried last night when i came onto the forum to find that some had had their results, i checked my inbox every five minutes, but there was nothing, i convinced myself that i had failed,i waited up till 12'0 clock by then i had enough and decided to go to bed. Tossed and turned all night, eventually got up at 6'0 clock thought i would check my e-mail the results were in. I was really shocked to find that i had passed both my ECR & FRA started shouting and woke my husband and children up.
My husband is taking me out for a well deserved meal tonight. Can't wait to start the technician level in September.
Congratulations to all those that have passed, comiserations to those that havn't just keep on trying You will get there.

Wasn't at work today so I took my laptop home, got my e-mail this morning at 07.30 saying I had passed ECR so it was time to treat myself. I went to RAF Lyneham families day and had a 30 minute flight in a hercules, I got a phone call to say my new BMW was ready for collection tomorrow, oh and I got myself some chocolates from Thorntons......:lol:

I thought I'd failed FRA in June and was very down for a few days afterwards. Knew I'd passed ECR as I felt I was virtually flawless on that, but knew I'd struggled on the other one.

I forgot all about it until about seven am yesterday morning, logged into my Netscape and saw the e-mail, thinking it was just another reminder. Opened it and was as surprised as hell to see my results - both passes!!!

I live alone and am off work this week, so I messaged my employer and a few others, then just went back to bed! Got a text message later from my little boy saying "Well done daddy x x". I didn't really celebrate or anything... however meeting a few others from the course tonight - Wednesday - and aiming to get bladdered!!!

    Take care all!!!

    Hi Guys,

I had trouble accessing my emails yesterday and ended up ringing the helpline because I was so desperate to get to my results. PASSED! Couldn't help but smile! Soon stopped when my manager wouldn't find the time to help me with the unit 10 project!
I can't wait to start technician (sad or what!)
I to went home last night and celebrated with a chinese meal with my boyfriend!

Congrats to everyone who passed and good luck to those taking the exams again.

Re:Exam result stories - post them here!

I have recieved my results in the post to clarify that I have passed PLB and FRA which I had entered by myself. My intention was regardless weather or not I had passed was to enroll for the foundation Level to do all the skills test but the tutor at the college recomended me to do the Intermediate Level because I had Acheived good Grades for A Level and GCSE Accounts. I thought that doing the Intermediate Level would be a huge jump because of the Skill test involve. Now I feel a little more confident in doing the Intermediate Level I know it is going to be hard work.

Re:Exam result stories - post them here!

Well, I must admit AAT gives you a lot of time to do the Tasks and the syllabus is not that heavy compared to A Level Accounts. So basically it is about taking your time and getting the answers correct by showing your workings

Re:Exam result stories - post them here!

I think I only passed ECR and FRA because I showed all my workings. Either way still can't actually believe I passed, (I keep looking at my letter) was so sure I'd failed FRA. :D

Re:Exam result stories - post them here!

if its realy easy everyone should have passed. let's just give those who passed their deserved credit and to those who didn't just give it another go. this time be more determined and success will be at hand.

Well, I thought the ECR exam was ridiculously easy but found the FRA one much tougher and thought I'd failed. However, although I know I got some questions clearly wrong, I did show my workings - the absolute golden rule. There was a very good example of showing your workings on the AAT website just before the exams. One question had sixteen marks in total. Correct answers with - or without - workings both scored the maximum. However, the wrong answer with clear and logical workings still scored highy - around 14 points, I think - as it demonstrated an understanding of the question even if the end result was incorrect. Wrong answers with no workings scored nothing at all.

Costings is pretty linear anyway, whereas with Financial, there is much more trickery involved!

I think logic is a better word to use that "trickery"
