In a profit and loss account, how do you work out dividends to shareholders. if the ratio is 3:1? (if that makes sense)
am I correct in thinking it would be 'profit after interest and tax'/4 x 3

I think you are right, the total is 4. So divide by 4 and multiply by whichever part of teh ratio you want to work out.0 -
