December exams in Bournemouth for external students

Bournemouth isn't listed as a venue for December exams.

The college are having building work done and they are only accepting their internal students for exams.

However, they might consider renting a hotel conference suite if there's enough of us.

The AAT tutor at the college says there won't be a problem, but the Exam Office says the opposite!

So, if you are hoping to sit your December exams in Bournemouth as an external student, ring the College and let them know!

Eastleigh will accept external candidates.

    Hi Baggybooks

    This isn't quite right. My colleague Philip Radford has been in touch with the centre and I can confirm that external candidates are welcome for the December 2006 sitting. You can enter online (best option)or via the the hard copy Entry Form. Candidates do not need to contact Bournemouth and Poole College first, we will send them all the information they need.

    Bournemouth wasn't listed if you tried to book the exams on-line. The exams office in Bournemouth confirmed they weren't accepting any external candidates this year.

    AAT support also confirmed this and suggested booking elsewhere.

    However, I pursued the matter and contacted a tutor at the college. After several phones calls it was resolved. It seems there had been a clerical error - either with the AAT or the college.

    But the important thing is we can now take our exams in sunny Bournemouth!
