Re:Retake technician or progress to ACCA? Help
Hi
I considered going straight to ACCA or CIMA after completing intermediate, but decided in the end to complete AAT.
If you were to go straight to ACCA now, you could prossibly save your self a little time, particularly as having passed DFS (and assuming you have done AAT intermediate as well) you can claim an expemtion from ACCA paper 1.1. But you would need to consider this up against the fact you would loose the chance to gain a full qualification in the next year or so - having AAT on your CV may place you in better stead than ACCA part 1.
Generally speaking, I don't starting at ACCA part 1 now would make you any better off than completeing AAT (other than a possible time saving or perhaps six months in all). Also, if you were to stop or take a break away from ACCA, at least with AAT you would have a complete qualification.
