Re:Technician level
If you are home study, yes.
Most colleges won't let you on to the next level until you have completed the previous level.0 -
Re:Technician level
I would say complete Intermediate first. Technician is hard enough without doing two extra exams.

Re:Technician level
The college I attended let people continue with technican if they had failed an exam at intermediate.
We took the financal paper in the June of intermediate level and then the financial paper at technican level in the Dec with the two costing technican papers the following June.
So it maybe dependant on the technican units you ae taking, if the units are similar it can be done.
I personally would limit the number of exams to 2 at once. Although I know others at a different college who passed 4 at once PTC, BTC, PEV and PCR but that is tough.
Good luck0 -

Hi
It will depend on your college, it's also worth considering the work load you'll have if studying technician at the same time as finishing intermediate. Also, bear in mind that technician units build on what youรขโฌโขve learnt at intermediate.
I did home study for intermediate and technician virtually simultaneously over two years. But because it was home study I could be flexible. If your attending college you need to take account of their time table.

Re:Technician level
I can't speak for other colleges, but although mine will let you go onto Technician with one exam missing, they won't let you start with both not successfully completed. As well as the time restraints, there is also the ability issue that has to be met and colleges will be very aware of this too.
In this scenario, I don't even think you would be able to start until next year - September 2007 - as although you could re-sit the exams in December, your results wouldn't be known for a while thus preventing you from being able to start in January.
I suppose if you were doing distance learning, this wouldn't be the rule, but it probably would be for many colleges.
I know this might sound cruel but I think you also have to question why you failed both. Was it an ability issue or a lack of revision issue? Both can be overcome and you now have the extra time to resolve it. For me, I scraped FRA but it was due to lack of revision not lack of ability, and I would have only had myself to blame if I'd failed for not making the proper effort.
Good luck for your resits!0 -

Mine Is letting me carry on after failing both0 -
Re:Technician level
The college i go to lets people carry on to techician level. Two people failed both and they have been allowed to carry on so you need to check with your college
